Moves to Downtown
The Next Page Bookstore and More has moved from its former location on 13th street to a new location in downtown Decatur. The former Niblick building on the corner of Monroe St and 2nd St. now houses the 3+ year old business. The newly renovated location offers a sizable increase in space and additional new products and services. The historic site retains many of its original features, including the wood floors, large display windows, the original counter and overhead office, as well as the large open stairway to the second floor. New features include a reading area with comfortable chairs and a gas fireplace, a small stage in the dining area for live musicians, an expanded espresso bar and kitchen with new offerings of desserts, salads, grilled sandwiches and breakfast items, a new restroom, and a new soon to be ready public conference room for meetings. The new location now offers an expanded selection of books (both new and used) and a large variety of gift and everyday items. Owners Rick and Emily Sovine have also rented space to a number of additional independent local businesses to bring an even wider variety of items and services to the long vacant site. These businesses include Just Because, Ritter's Flowers & Gifts Downtown, The Hip Hop Shop, Computer Repair, and many others. Store hours currently are Monday-Friday 7AM - 6PM Saturday 7AM - 4 PM Closed Sundays.

3 Generation Bargain Store
The latest store to open and join the Decatur SBA is 3 GENERATION BARGAIN STORE, located 643 N. 13th St. The business is owned by Benjamen Ritter and his father Steven Ritter and Grandfather James Ritter working with him. The three generations sell used appliances, furniture, and other items.
In the future they plan to hold auctions on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month.
